In the last week of October 2010, I had a contest in Saas Fee. I didn’t do so well at the quali’s so I didn’t go through to the finals. I was with 2 friends of my team, they didn’t go through neither. On the day of the finals we decided to just cruize a little in the park, do a couple jumps and rails and just have fun. The middle kicker was pretty big, it was about 20 meters. It was my first time hitting a 20m kicker so it was pretty scary. I went a little too fast and popped a bit too hard so I overshot it and ended up having a broken collarbone, a perforated lung and a bad concussion. I lied in a hospital in Bern for about two weeks, where they said i couldn’t snowboard for at least 6 months! I couldn’t believe that and luckily I recovered pretty fast and after two months I was back on my board again.
